Social Justice Committee

As the caption on the right suggests, Social Justice is often confused with CHARITY and the work undertaken by charitable organisations.

I don't want COINS,

I want CHANGE!

Social Justice is concerned about the CHANGES that need to be made in society to ensure that each person has access to those things considered a basic right such as:

a place to call home

affordable housing

employment

access to the internet

e-services

social networks

Social Justice is about each person having a fair share in the common good of society and about the CHANGES needed to ensure this happens.

The Ryde-Gladesville Social Justice Committee has been working on the following Social Justice issues:

homelessness

housing affordability

detention of refugees

East Timor

interfaith dialogue
